It aims to build a positive environment, develop leadership in young officials, and safeguard them from abuse, helping to retain the next generation of referees who are vital for community sports. 

How it Works:

•    Identification: Referees under 18 wear a distinct green whistle or green armband.

•    Reminder: This serves as a visual cue for everyone at the game that the official is a minor.

•    Call to Action: Spectators, coaches, and players are reminded to be supportive, respectful, and patient, understanding that the young official is still developing their skills.
